Over Christmas break in 2012, I teamed up with another photographer during a visit back home to Arkansas. For a couple of
days, we explored various locations, including the eerie yet intriguing Dogpatch Park. Once a thriving amusement park
inspired by the comic strip Li'l Abner, Dogpatch saw early success before closing its gates in 1993.
Pictured here is a rustic shack on Wolf Island, a remnant of the Paddle Boat ride that once brought visitors to this
charming spot. The juxtaposition of nature reclaiming man-made structures adds a haunting beauty to the park's forgotten history.
