Fifty Foot Falls, a breathtaking gem, was formed in 2008 after a catastrophic flood reshaped Havasu Creek. Torrential rains and a dam breach forced the
creek to carve a new channel, creating two stunning waterfalls in the process.
Havasu Creek is located near Supai, Arizona, within the Havasupai Indian Reservation. Supai is the most remote town in the contiguous United States,
accessible only by an 8-mile hike or a helicopter ride. These waterfalls, nestled deep within the Grand Canyon, are among the most secluded in the world,
attracting adventurers from far and wide.
I first read about this magical place years ago and immediately added it to my bucket list. Fifty Foot Falls became my favorite waterfall and photograph
from the trip. The scene feels like a tropical oasis, with vibrant waters framed by the towering canyon walls—a true desert paradise.
