Canyon X is a lesser-known slot canyon on the Navajo Indian Reservation. Unlike the Antelope Canyons, access is limited to one tour company, ensuring a much
more intimate experience. Instead of hundreds of people vying for the same shot, only a small group is allowed at any given time.
After researching and realizing that Antelope Canyon would be overcrowded, I chose this quieter alternative. With just one other person and our guide, I spent
six hours exploring the breathtaking beauty of this slot canyon. Seen here in "Chiseled Light," desert fauna, carried in by past flash floods, rests elegantly
within the canyon walls. I've never been one to stage shots, but I loved how the light streams down onto the brush, framed by the canyon's smooth, sculpted walls.
